Thanks to CrossFit EaDo and Coach Shahin for hosting me in Houston. I took on the challenge of trying to reach the box by running the 2 miles from from downtown, which is kind of like running through a post-apocalyptic wasteland specifically designed to be only traversible by car. I was wearing FiveFingers and jumping over broken sidewalk pieces, gravel, and standing water. The box is huge, the biggest in Texas (which if course is saying something), and they have like 5 classes going on at once. My WOD was a bodyweight warmup followed by “Diane” – 21-15-9 deadlifts at 225 lbs. plus handstand pushups (knees on the box for me) in 5:48. It was a ton of fun.
